The project intends to establish an innovative service to support the expansion of the market of small companies in the video games and gamification sector that provide solutions for the “digital transformation” of the SUDOE economic sectors. This innovative service consists of the creation of a series of Demonstration Centers (GAMELABs) in the SUDOE territory that will allow small companies and start-ups in the sector to show their products in a practical way and, in parallel, provide training related to these technologies and provide co-working spaces to develop pilot projects aimed at different key sectors of the SUDOE economy. Each of the Centers will specialize in applications for one of the SUDOE´s priority economic sectors and will operate in a network, allowing digital game companies to present demonstrators of their products in the set of regions participating in the Project. The main innovative aspects are: – The implementation of a model of Demonstration Centers that allows simultaneously showing demonstrators of digital game solutions, e.g. simulators, process virtualization, augmented reality applications, serious games for customer loyalty, oriented to an economic sector core of each region or territory, facilitate the creation of new solutions through the interaction between programmers and user companies and train new professionals in the knowledge and use of new digital game technologies and applications. – This model will adapt to be applied in several regions and with different sectoral approaches. Throughout the project, the model and its results will be evaluated and proposals for improvement will be identified, for later transfer to new regions of the SUDOE. – Networking between the centers will make it easier for SMEs proposing digital game solutions to present demonstrators of their products in different regions, applied to different economic sectors. – The application of an eminently practical approach involves promoting the “Digital Transformation” of the key sectors of the SUDOE, presenting real demonstrators and creating solutions that are representative of the sector corresponding to the reach of SMEs. This will be possible thanks to the involvement and interaction between SMEs in the video games and gamification sector, proponents of solutions, large ICT companies that integrate solutions and clusters that integrate the value chain of a given sector.
