Alexandrino Gonçalves (PhD) is a Coordinator Professor in the Computer Science Engineering Department, at the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic University of Leiria (Portugal). His field of expertise is focused on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Human-Computer Interaction, where he is the author and co-author of several dozens of scientific papers in journals, conference proceedings, books and book chapters; and is regularly involved in funded R&D projects in these research areas, some of them as Principal Investigator. Currently, he is the Director of the board of the Eurographics Portuguese Chapter and head of the Computer Graphics and Multimedia Cluster at CIIC - Computer Science and Communications Research Centre. As a professor, he is responsible for curricular units in this field of expertise, such as 3D Modelling or Graphical Systems and Interaction and is the supervisor of several MSc and PhD students.
