The project aims to remotely monitor elements of the automotive sector's logistics chain and molds in particular and envisages research focused on: tracking and recording of mold manufacturing processes; tracking the use of the mold; record of corrective and evolutionary maintenance actions; implementation of predictive models applied to mold production and use processes. The aim is to develop a mold with technology integration – sensors and electronic module – that allows to effectively ensure the monitoring, in real time and remotely, of the actions carried out in the mold as well as their timings and georeferenced locations, from the its manufacturing process to its discontinuation/reuse, going through possible predictive, corrective and/or evolutionary maintenance processes. In addition to the electronics module that will record all this mold information – in a black box logic -, the objective also involves the development of a tracking software platform that allows monitoring and updating the status of the mold during its life cycle.
